About WoodSafe Products
WoodSafe Products are developed and manufactured by FrostGreen, a Swedish company. The entire WoodSafe product range is made from certified Swedish forest residuals — a renewable raw material that replaces conventional fossil-based plastic. WoodSafe is UN/ADR certified, ISO compliant and AutoClave tested. WoodSafe is suitable for cleanroom settings such as laboratories and medical, clinical environments.
Each product in the WoodSafe product range undergoes rigorous testing to achieve type approval under both UN3249/UN3291 confirming full compliance with ADR regulations for road transport of hazardous goods and ISO23907‑1:2019 for sharps injury prevention. Our Hazardous Waste Container Range
The WoodSafe product range covers volumes from 0.5 litres to 50 litres, giving every healthcare and laboratory setting the right container size. The containers are available with a single-action lid or a double-lock lid for additional security in high-risk environments.
Small Containers — 0.5 L to 3.3 L
The small container series covers the 0.5 L, 2.3 L, and 3.3 L WoodSafe containers. These compact units are ideal for workstations, patient rooms, and point-of-care settings where space is limited.
Medium Containers — 6 L and 12 L
The 6 L and 12 L WoodSafe containers are available in both single-lid and double-lock lid configurations. The double-lock lid provides an additional safety barrier and convenience for different uses.
Large Containers — 25 L and 50 L
The 25 L and 50 L WoodSafe containers serve for large-volume waste streams. Both sizes are available in single-action and double-lock lid variants.

Wall Holders
WoodSafe wall holders keep containers securely mounted at the point of use. All holders are designed for single-hand container removal, reducing the risk of accidental contact with sharps. Three models cover the full container range: for 0.5 L containers, for 2.3 L and 3.3 L containers, and the heavy-duty bracket for 6 L and 12 L containers in clinical and laboratory environments.
Container Trolleys
For safe in-facility transport of the larger WoodSafe containers, the low-profile trolley offers a compact, manoeuvrable solution for 25 L and 50 L containers. Trolleys provide a full-size wheeled platform with swivel wheels— built for laboratory and medical environments.
UN Certification & Compliance
All WoodSafe Products in this range hold active type approvals under UN3249 and UN3291 as required by the United Nations ADR regulations for the international carriage of dangerous goods by road along with ISO 23907‑1:2019 certification for sharps injury prevention.
