About WoodSafe Products
WoodSafe products are developed and manufactured by FrostGreen AB, a Swedish company. The entire WoodSafe product range is made from certified Swedish forest residues—a renewable raw material that replaces conventional fossil-based plastic. WoodSafe is UN/ADR certified, ISO compliant, and autoclave tested, and is suitable for cleanroom environments such as laboratories and medical and clinical settings.
Every product in the WoodSafe product range undergoes rigorous independent testing to obtain type approval under both UN3249/UN3291 —confirming full compliance with ADR regulations for the transport of hazardous goods by road—and ISO 23907-1:2019 for sharps injury prevention. Our Hazardous Waste Container Line
The WoodSafe product range includes containers ranging in size from 0.5 liters to 50 liters, providing the right container size for every healthcare and laboratory setting. Containers are available with a single-action lid or a double-lock lid for added security in high-risk environments.
Small Containers — 0.5 L to 3.3 L
The small container series includes the 0.5 L, 2.3 L, and 3.3 L WoodSafe containers—compact units ideal for workstations, patient rooms, and point-of-care settings where space is limited.
Medium Containers — 6 L and 12 L
The 6-liter and 12-liter WoodSafe containers are available in both single-lid and double-lock lid configurations. The double-lock lid provides an additional safety barrier for various waste disposal needs.
Large Containers — 25 L and 50 L
The 25-liter and 50-liter WoodSafe containers are designed for high-volume waste streams in laboratory and high-capacity clinical settings. Both sizes are available with single-action and double-lock lids.

In addition to the container line, WoodSafe Products offers a complete set of matching accessories designed for safe handling and ergonomic wall-mounted use in clinical and laboratory settings.
Wall Mounts
WoodSafe wall holders keep containers securely mounted at the point of use. All holders are designed for one-handed container removal, reducing the risk of accidental contact with sharps. Three models cover the full container range: for 0.5 L containers (TBWS-21), for 2.3 L and 3.3 L containers (TBWS-22), and the heavy-duty bracket for 6 L and 12 L containers (TBWS-23).
Container Trolleys
For safe in-facility transport of larger WoodSafe containers, the low-profile trolley (TBWS-701) offers a compact, maneuverable solution for 25-liter and 50-liter containers. The standard trolley (TBWS-703) provides a full-size wheeled platform with lockable swivel wheels—designed for laboratory and medical environments.
UN Certification & Compliance
All WoodSafe containers hold active type approvals under UN3249 and UN3291, as required by the United Nations ADR regulations for the international transport of dangerous goods by road, as well as ISO 23907-1:2019 certification for the prevention of sharps injuries.
