WoodSafe® delivers a verified 66% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to conventional fossil-based plastic sharps bins — calculated through an independent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) by Miljögiraff AB (May 2023, ISO 14040/44, IPCC GWP 2021 100). The containers are made from 80% biobased material derived from Swedish sawdust and pine oil, with 20% polypropylene as structural binder. WoodSafe® is also autoclave compatible at 134°C, validated by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, making it suitable for sterilisation cycles used across healthcare and life sciences settings.
